Personal data we collect
We collect different information depending on how you use the site.
- Website and security data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, dates, times, and technical logs needed to keep the site working and secure.
- Browser storage: information stored in your browser so the guide can remember progress, preferences, and purchase or access state.
- Purchases and subscriptions: name and email address if provided, product purchased, payment status, subscription status, refund status, download access status, timestamps, and payment-provider reference numbers needed to provide access and support.
- Email updates and newsletters: email address, subscription preferences, unsubscribe records, and delivery records.
- Support messages: your email address, message content, and any information you choose to include when contacting us.
What we do not collect
- We do not store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- We do not ask you to upload your Agent OS, prompts, private business documents, or customer data to the website.
- We do not currently use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar analytics tools.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children. The site and products are not designed for children.
How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- run, protect, and improve the website;
- remember guide progress and site preferences;
- process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and download access;
- send service emails, update emails, newsletters, and unsubscribe confirmations;
- respond to support requests;
- detect abuse, fraud, or security issues;
- meet accounting, tax, legal, and record-keeping duties.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for using personal data. The main bases we rely on are:
- Contract: to provide products, subscriptions, downloads, support, and account access you request.
- Consent: to send optional newsletters or marketing where consent is required. You can withdraw consent by unsubscribing.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, answer support requests, maintain access records, and understand basic service reliability.
- Legal obligation: to keep accounting, tax, refund, and compliance records.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay through Stripe Checkout, Stripe collects and processes payment information under its own privacy terms. We receive the information needed to confirm purchase or subscription status, deliver access, handle refunds, and provide support. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Email updates and newsletters
If you subscribe to emails, we use your email address to send the updates you asked for. If you buy a paid subscription, some emails may be service emails needed to deliver the subscription, such as access details, billing-related notices, and important product updates.
You can unsubscribe from optional newsletters or marketing emails at any time. Unsubscribing from optional marketing does not cancel a paid subscription.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses browser storage and similar technologies for practical site functions, including guide progress, display preferences, purchase or access state, and basic security. These are used to make the site work properly.
At the date of this policy, we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed to run the service, meet legal duties, or protect the site. This may include:
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, security, file delivery, and email-related services;
- Stripe, for payments, subscriptions, refunds, and billing records;
- trusted email service providers, for sending and receiving emails;
- professional advisers, where needed for legal, tax, or accounting purposes;
- law enforcement, regulators, or courts, where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell personal data.
International processing
Some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards required by data protection law, such as contractual protections or equivalent transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the reason it was collected, including:
- purchase, access, refund, and subscription records while needed to provide access, handle support, resolve disputes, and meet accounting or legal duties;
- newsletter and update subscription records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, unless we need to keep a limited suppression record;
- support emails for as long as needed to resolve the issue and keep reasonable service records;
- security logs for a limited period needed to protect the site and investigate abuse.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal data;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete data where we no longer need it;
- ask us to restrict or object to certain uses of data;
- ask for data portability in some cases;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Governing law
This policy is written with UK data protection law in mind. Any dispute connected with this policy is governed by Scots law and the Scottish courts, unless data protection law gives you a different right.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, products, payment setup, email setup, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
